MagicLinks has the sexiest untapped trove of data in the e-commerce landscape. With data on 160+ millions shoppers and their buying behavior, we are driving a massive product sales which creates a differentiated data pool that very few players in the influencer market have access to. The senior data scientist will be responsible for helping us tap into this unique data set, and unlock the huge amount of value that it provides us to help scale our business exponentially.


  • Export and analyze data from company databases to optimize and improve product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
  • Incorporate elements of machine learning and AI into our core products including developing custom data models and algorithms
  • Establish processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
  • Work closely with our engineering team establish best practices for data storage, data warehousing and security
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize user experiences, revenue generation, marketing targeting and other business outcomes
  • Analyze the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering methods
  • Research and suggest data sources that can be incorporated to improve our products and streamline business decisions

You Are

  • 5 to 8 years of experience with data architectures, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence; ideally with direct experience in e-commerce, digital media, and/or influencer marketing
  • Knowledge of statistical programming languages such as (Python, R, SQL, etc.)
  • Knowledge of variety of machine learning algorithms and their real-world pros and cons
  • Experience using data warehouse solutions and Big Data (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
  • Visualization tools (D3, ggplot, Tableau, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to distill and clearly communicate the most important insights that have meaningful business impact to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A highly motivated self-starter, and mental athlete, capable of producing high quality work while adhering to oftentimes very tight turnaround times in an exciting and fast-moving start-up environment.
  • Experience leading teams of data scientists and growing data oriented professionals in their career development.
  • Someone who others describe as disciplined, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence
